For most of this year I was not teaching. I was learning. I went to several asans and gurus to learn two specific things — not because I was short of subjects, but because of what I kept seeing around me.
That is why I went. I want to open a rehabilitation centre, and I went to learn the two things such a centre needs most: how to support someone whose movement has been lost on one side or in one part of the body, and how to help movement open up again after surgery, a fall or an injury.
These three days are that work, taught with your own hands. What I teach stays in your hands only when you do it — so from the first morning to the last evening, you are working.

Each day builds on the one before it. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is only watched.
Relaxation, breath and Saram — the breath and its flow inside the body. Uzhichil, the forearm work laid along the body. How to observe before you touch, how to touch, and how to let the nervous system settle before anything else is done.
Single-point Varmam manipulation — Varmam, pressure points on the body. Cloth and towel techniques. Joint and limb work. Supervised partner practice, with correction while you do it.
Sarvanga Thadaval, the full-body sequence. Savattal and leg manipulation. Putting the three days together into practical routines you can carry home and repeat.
All three days are hands-on, 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. You work on a partner, a partner works on you, and I correct you while you do it.
Movement is not only muscle. It is a loop, and every step of the loop can be supported.
An intention forms in the mind. The brain sends it down the spinal cord and out along the nerves to the muscle. The muscle moves. That movement sends feedback back up, and the brain updates its own map of the body.
When movement is lost, that loop has gone quiet somewhere. Careful, repeated, well-placed hands-on work gives the loop something to feel again — which is exactly what you are practising for three days. This is education in how to support that loop. It is not treatment of any condition.
A parent, a partner, a relative who cannot move as they did. You are already the one who is there. These three days teach you practical ways to support them at home, instead of only driving them somewhere.
You do not have to be a therapist to learn this. Every technique is taught from the beginning.
You already have a base. This adds hands-on movement-support skills for the cases people ask you about most — after a stroke, after paralysis, after surgery, after an injury.
It is also the ground a rehabilitation centre stands on, for anyone thinking of building one.
This is a working room, not an observation room. Everyone who comes takes part in the practice.
This is a practical training, not a lecture. From 10:00 to 5:30, all three days, you are working — on a partner, with a partner working on you, and with me correcting you while you do it.
Watching a technique tells you where to place your hand. It cannot tell you that your pressure is too light to reach anything, or so heavy that the body closes against you. Nobody has ever learned this by watching. They learn it when someone stands behind them and moves their hand.
Limited to twenty places. That is not a marketing number — past twenty, I cannot get to everybody’s hands in a day.

A glimpse from our hands-on training sessions — where participants learn through demonstration, guided practice and supervised partner work.

Photographs and short recordings from our own training sessions. They show what the three days are like; they are not a promise of any particular result.

Invited to speak on pain relief through breath and Varmam at VAPCON 2025, organised by Vishwa Ayurved Parishad, Telangana.
Don't build life only around what was lost. Build from what is still possible.

Yes. Much of this is meant for exactly that — someone at home who needs this kind of support, and you are the one who is there. Every technique is taught from the beginning.
We cannot promise that, and we will not. This is wellness education: you are learning practical, careful ways to support movement, mobility and everyday independence. What any one person experiences varies, and none of it replaces the care of their doctor.
Not into the training room — these three days are learned on each other, and being paired with another student is part of how you are corrected. Agasthya Wellness Centre runs in the same campus, and after the programme you can bring the person in for hands-on work and be guided alongside. Ask us and we will arrange it.
No. You will be paired in the room.
Parts of the Uzhichil, Sarvanga Thadaval and manipulation work will be familiar to older students. What I went away to learn this year is not recorded anywhere, and the way all of it is put together across these three days is new.
Yes. A vegetarian lunch is included on all three days, along with tea and biscuits. Please be in the hall 15 minutes before the session begins.
No. The room is not recorded and no footage of it is shared. We take some photographs and short clips during the three days, for our records and for sharing afterwards. If you would rather not appear in them, tell us on the first morning and we will keep you out of frame.
Yes — a participation certificate is given for the three days.
Write to connect@vedhansri.com before you register. Past students are reviewed individually — please do not assume a price.
UPI, debit card, credit card, net banking or wallet, all on the same page. There is no instalment plan from our side; the fee is paid in full to hold the seat. If you would rather spread it, card EMI appears at the payment step for the banks that support it, and that arrangement is between you and your bank.
The group is small and your seat is held from the moment you pay, so the fee is not refundable. It is not lost either — you can carry it to a future programme, or use it towards our books or another service. Tell us before the first day.
Whichever the room needs. The teaching is multilingual and the explanation is repeated in the language a student follows best.
